High School Barista/Housekeeper

Role Description

This high school position can be part-time up to 40 hours during the summer and weekends during the school year. We do take some only weekend employees as well.

This is a customer facing position in the coffee shop and occasional visitor experience housekeeper, making a difference in a community and for area visitors. Paddle On isn't just a restaurant, it's where people gather and form relationships.

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The barista/housekeeper will learn how to prepare the menu, serve customers & work the coffeehouse. As a housekeeper the candidate will ensure a clean and welcoming environment for every guest through clean & beautiful spaces. Candidates must be competent and responsible to eventually work unsupervised while housekeeping.

Normal days for this position will have them working at the coffeeshop in the morning, and switching to housekeeping approximately at 11AM for a few hours. Only working at the coffeeshop isn’t an option for high school staff

Qualifications

Groundkeeping & Maintainance

Role Description

This position is part-time 10-20 hours a week May-November.

We have a terraced hillside and mowing, weeding & maintaining take extra care.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work hard and with minimal supervision

  • Able to mow and operate mechanical equipment safely

  • Willingness to learn

  • Attention to detail

  • Good text and verbal communication

Barista Lead

Role Description

This shift lead position can be up to 40 hours in June-October and 3-5 days a week in the winter/spring. Open to part time in the spring-fall if that is desired

This is a customer facing position in the coffee shop and occasional visitor experience housekeeper, making a difference in a community and for area visitors. Paddle On isn't just a restaurant, it's where people gather and form relationships.

This is an on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The barista/housekeeper will be responsible for daily operations of the coffeehouse, including teen staff supervision, baking and excellent customer service. The barista will learn to prepare and serve the full menu, ensure a clean and welcoming environment, potentially manage scheduling, inventory & implement promotional activities. During housekeeping, the candidate will also provide for guest experience through clean and inviting spaces. Candidates must be competent and responsible to work unsupervised and trustworthy to manage the shop alone.

  • Competent and gentle leader of teenagers under their supervision

  • Handles high-pressure situations or customers with peace

Hospitality Manager or Assistant Manager

Role Description

The role is full-time in the summer and part time in the winter but open to a salaried position for the right candidate.

This is an on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The Manager (modified for assistant manager) will be responsible for managing daily operations of the coffeehouse, including staff supervision, inventory management, bookkeeping and maintaining customer service standards. Manager will also learn to prepare and serve the full menu, ensure a clean and welcoming environment, train new employees & implementing promotional activities. The Manager will also be trained in taking reservations & hotel management.
