Barista Lead - Now Hiring

Role Description

Root River Hospitality encompasses both Root River Inn & Suites as well as Paddle On Coffee & Maker Emporium. We are a kindness driven hospitality company in the heart of Lanesboro. We serve the community and visitors through appealing spaces and quality offerings to enhance their time in this beautiful area. This is a customer facing position in the coffee shop and occasional visitor experience housekeeper, making a difference in a community and for area visitors. Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. If you are good at managing your home & kitchen, we can train you to be a shift lead. Responsibility helping customers, working the register, making food and drink, and the kitchen stocked and ready. This roll includes teen staff supervision, and will work up to including light management duties depending on your skill set for when the shop is quieter in the winter. Candidates must be competent and responsible to work unsupervised and trustworthy.

This role will also learn housekeeping for occasional fill in help. At Root River Inn & Suites we are known for our clean modern rooms. We offer a high quality experience because the care that housekeeping shows. We have a head housekeeper and have enough teens on the weekends, but the shoulder season of Sept/Oct and May, you may be needed to help with housekeeping after your shift at Paddle On.

Qualifications

Can manage a kitchen - attentive to expiration dates, safe food handling practices and can see and attend to what needs to be done

Hospitality Manager or Assistant Manager - Not Currently Hiring

Role Description

The role is full-time in the summer and part time in the winter but open to a salaried position for the right candidate.

This is an on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The Manager (modified for assistant manager) will be responsible for managing daily operations of the coffeehouse, including staff supervision, inventory management, bookkeeping and maintaining customer service standards. Manager will also learn to prepare and serve the full menu, ensure a clean and welcoming environment, train new employees & implementing promotional activities. The Manager will also be trained in taking reservations & hotel management.

High School Barista/Housekeeper - Not Currently Hiring

Role Description

This high school position can be part-time up to 40 hours during the summer and weekends during the school year. We do take some only weekend employees as well.

This is a customer facing position in the coffee shop and occasional visitor experience housekeeper, making a difference in a community and for area visitors. Paddle On isn't just a restaurant, it's where people gather and form relationships.

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The barista/housekeeper will learn how to prepare the menu, serve customers & work the coffeehouse. As a housekeeper the candidate will ensure a clean and welcoming environment for every guest through clean & beautiful spaces. Candidates must be competent and responsible to eventually work unsupervised while housekeeping.

Normal days for this position will have them working at the coffeeshop in the morning, and switching to housekeeping approximately at 11AM for a few hours. Only working at the coffeeshop isn’t an option for high school staff

Role Description

This position is part-time 10-20 hours a week May-November.

We have a terraced hillside and mowing, weeding & maintaining take extra care.
